ahem
time is up.
Answer and next question please.
The way it was done in "bullet", was to simple omit any music or dialogue in the chase scene. Hardly nothing novel about the way it was done.

So, what was the answer, specifically? Was it the first movie that had a battle in outer space, or not? Regardless, of how it was done!

The Answer is no scene lasted longer than 5 seconds, It built the excitement through to the end of the movie... Just about every Action movie since has used this technique. Also TV adds use this Technique going down to two seconds between scenes...
George Lucas's wife Marcia is the brilliant editor that thought of this and she got a academy award for it.. she also Edited many Martin Scorsese movies including Taxi Driver...

As for my next turn the Quiz nazi reminded me why I don't play anymore and Pinky can have my next turn....

Thanks for that.

You just can't stand being advised by a woman, can you.?

I'm just doing what comes natural.. rounding up the sluggards and the mentally lazy .. if you want to play, you can also say what you think.. that is fair.

It is your problem my friend, not mine, if you don't want to play any more. :roll .

So... a question is necessary. Hmm...

an historical question ...

John of Gaunt was the Uncle of which British Monarch.?

so happen to be here with 5 mins to go.

I understand ... Medieval history isn't every one's favourite subject.

We are talking about the mid to late 1360's.
The Black Death had decimated most of Europe and England.

John of Gaunt was King Richard the First's Uncle and Regent. He was a young King, and John of Gaunt and his colleagues acted on his behalf in much of what is now the UK. The Scots had been routed by The Hammer of the Scots Edward the First.. and much intrigue was afoot.

So ... we are accustomed to seeing statues, carvings etc, of religious and/or philosophical importance.

In China the obvious one is Confucius... who is often depicted holding a baby.
The we have the other great influence in Chinese philosophy. Lao Tsu..

There are three significant features of statues or icons depicting Lao Tsu..

If you can get two of the three, I'll accept your answer.

It is argued that he was alive prior to Confucius, and also that they were contemporaneous..

but later it was considered unlikely, and that Confucius came later.

He is widely recognised .. if he indeed existed, ....as the writer of the Tao Te Ching and it is said he
-as an old man, left on a Journey from China to the Himalayas.. when he left China never to return.

He is often depicted with a staff in one hand and a vessel in the other . ( Grog)
Also a yak or large Ox is associated with him, and he is usually shown with a bulging forehead.
