wrong call.

The UK withdrew from the EU. They are the United Kingdom. That includes Wales, Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. They didn't want to be European anymore... Nationalistic rubbish if you ask me.

Only Eire maintained it's Europeanness.

that just means they are no longer in the EU ... an 'economic zone'. England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland are however still in Europe, a 'continent'.

Oh and the pre-Maori people.. well we called them the Morri-Orri....well don't know the official spelling, or even if they are still part of NZ history. By all accounts they were wiped out.

So staying with Europe.. Greece to be precise.

What name did the ancient Greeks give to those female Furies that exacted vengeance upon the wicked.?
Sorry for the delay.. . got a long phone call.

And as far as I'm concerned Monk you can have your point. Even though it is a group of Islands off the continent.

I think that those who said GB and the UK were also correct. If you disagree, my question is was the longest serving deputy prime minister of Australia. Hint: He/She died recently at 90yo. If you agree, then let them ask their question.

sorry I don't understand.

It is your question, but I see no q ? mark
I gather that you are asking who was the longest serving Deputy PM of Australia , who died recently aged 90.

I'm not just not sure ... ' If you agree, then let them ask their question.' means.

Umm actually I don't get....." I think that those who said GB and the UK were also correct. If you disagree, my question is .....????

Sorry, I was wrong. Great Britain only includes England, Scotland, and Wales. The UK includes GB and Northern Ireland. Therefore, the UK and GB would have been incorrect. Also I could only find the 12 Bens in western Ireland, and the Ben Nevis mountain in Scotland. I can't find a 3 bens mountain in Ireland. Could you add a link?

You are correct. Doug Anthony served as deputy for almost 11 years. Your question?

Next question?

oh umm off the top of my head.? :)

Might have to go to music.

A couple come to mind. Too easy, but ....

oh dear... so not what I was going to ask, 'cos I couldn't quite remember the answer... to my original question.

I had a particular artist in mind..... OK lyrics

'shower by the hour, oh baby you're..... '

Artist and song please.

That was Lou Reed

.......you're so vicious!

from... Walk on the Wild side off that album. Lou Reed..

next .. remember this one ... nope... so the Furies were creatures from the Underworld... but appeared on earth in the form of vengeful killer women....

What name did the ancient Greeks give to those female Furies that exacted vengeance upon the wicked.?
Well a ridiculous question I know. Like some others I have read here. Not all my own by any means.

Translated out from Ancient Greek to modern language they became the Erinyes.... spelling optional. But according to legend Athena, the goddess of Athens came to repair the harm and start democracy... She offered them a life of peace and reflection, should they cease their destruction of all they were against, and so the agreed and according to Aeschylus , the great tragic poet of Ancient Greece, were granted that peace and became known as the Eumanides.

Harrumph.!

Other than being completely deaf in his right ear, having positional vertigo, and worth more than $75M, NOT MUCH!

Speaking of Furies, which movie shows how Nick Fury(Head of Shields) lost one of his eyes?
