are you guys getting shortages of toilet paper in your shops as well? All I've seen on the news in regards to the USA is the huge spike in demand for guns and marijuana.

I mean, i thought we were pretty bad hoarding toilet paper, but I think you guys managed to top that. :gup

Yeah, people are hoarding toilet paper. Once everyone has a whole garage full of it, I'm sure the stores will stop getting cleaned out of toilet paper. Yes, guns and ammo are selling. Don't know about the marijuana.

No, have two packs + couple-three rolls. I was just curious if the panic had abated by now, nope. Notice said —1 pack per person, dunno how well enforced. Ha! Only ONE pack of medium size incontinence pants left, Mum goes through two packs in a week.

I see myself pretty much self-isolating in the winter but not doing anything special about it as yet, not even 1000 Aussies has it yet. Going to take Mum to the Barossa Valley on Friday, Tanunda bookshop then Saltram winery for lunch and buying some wine then home. Be gloomy enough in winter not to spend some time away from home now.

Panic buying still going on: Woolies had no toilet paper (fully stocked shelves emptied in a few hours) nor any hand sanitiser or even soap left. Didn’t check for kitty litter :WTF

if you need toilet paper, or any other paper or cleaning goods, just to a wholesaler who supplies restaurants, cafe's etc. You'll usually find at least one in most industrial estates

I see on the news that things are heating up over there with regards to the virus.

Stay safe. :thumb

Thanks.

My job is not shut down at this time, but I am anticipating that it will be. I keep thinking I'm going to get an email from them any day now saying not to come to work. If that happens, we'll get along OK. My home is paid for free and clear, and financially we'll be OK.

Without going into all the reasons why, being a part time employee, I am only allowed to work a certain number of hours per quarter of the year. I was worked heavily during January and February and I could only work a few days early in March, at which time I reached those maximum number of hours. So I've been off work for the past 11 days, and I'm not scheduled to work until April 1. But, as I said, I'm not certain that will happen. So I've just been hanging out in my house, not going out except for essential reasons.

My son's sense of humor .... :roll

I told a friend of mine about what he said, and he replied that the virus was the "boomer remover".

But yeah, we're going to go through some tough times in the coming months. Nevertheless, I am confident that when some really good news finally emerges - like a vaccine - we're going to go back to normal and our economy will take off like crazy.

My wife and I were even talking today about maybe investing some money while the stock market is down. It's down, and I think it may go lower and stay down for a while, but when we beat this virus, it will take off like a friggin rocket.

You all take care too.

Seth
