A new report has revealed the extent of misgivings among staff about the government’s controversial “robo-debt” program, showing most surveyed in the Department of Human Services believe the agency has handled the fallout poorly. Is it any surprise?

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/national/public-service/cpsu-survey-reveals-what-dhs-staff-really-think-about-robodebt-20170407-gvg84a.html

It really is just jerks like Tudge and Porter and some senior heads in DHS that want this robodebt debacle, probably to scare off applicants for NewStart as the Libs keep killing the economy. No other explanation makes sense!

Christ, even someone who does owe Centrelink can count on public sympathy and claim they don’t owe anything, so it is counterproductive just as a debt collection exercise!

Centrelink’s demands on former welfare recipients targeted by its “robo-debt” program were neither “reasonable” nor ‘fair”, the Commonwealth Ombudsman has found:

http://www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/not-reasonable-or-fair-ombudsman-slams-centrelinks-robodebt-20170409-gvhf5u.html

Thank fuck for that! Now to make the stinking Libs see sense.

More and more is being revealed of Centrelink’s woeful performance over the robo-debt issue.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/apr/12/almost-half-of-all-centrelink-robo-debt-notices-sent-to-private-debt-collectors

Of course! Don’t let victims, that is what they are, victims, establish their case, send in the standover men sometimes aka debt collectors. Thugs is our govt, ruling to help the spivs, lurk men and conmen who donate to them.

We MUST tip the shyte out before 2019!!!

Useless fucking Libs!

Centrelink website flaw leaves users vulnerable

Phishing attacks made easy.

A security vulnerability in Centrelink’s online system put users at greater risk of having their credentials stolen through phishing attacks.

Freelance web application specialist Eric John Hurley discovered the flaw when using the service earlier this month, iTnews can reveal.

After logging out of the Centrelink portal, users are redirected back to the main log in page. But the log out function contained a unvalidated redirect vulnerability that meant attackers could set their own destination URL.

Because the target page - or destination for the redirect - was specified in an unvalidated parameter, attackers could direct users to a site of their choosing within what looks like a legitimate Centrelink URL.

Signs that the debacle is nearly over:

Yesterday the Senate inquiry into the robo-debt issue was told that the government has been breaching its own privacy guidelines.

A private debt collector receives (an undisclosed) commission on the money it recoups from welfare recipients under the controversial Centrelink “robo-debt” program, the Senate inquiry has been told.

Centrelink in full flight

Lawyers working for community legal centres have told a Senate inquiry on Tuesday that it was extremely difficult dealing with Centrelink on behalf of people with “robo debts” and that correspondence was often “frankly incomprehensible”.

Paula Hughes, a policy lawyer from LawRight, a Queensland-based legal service, says her colleagues have “significant difficulties” convincing Centrelink staff that LawRight is a legal advocate for Centrelink recipients.

The organisation’s volunteer lawyers often spend hours on the phone trying to get through to Centrelink and, if they manage to make contact with Centrelink staff to request documents, they will often not get a reply, she says.

If Centrelink staff do send documents in relation to recipients’ alleged debts, the documents are “frankly incomprehensible”.

Don't be ridiculous, it's par for the course when dealing with ideologies and cloned ideologues, only their fantasy is real to them, not reality. So they will get more and more desperate to push their insanity onto everyone, yet will be desperate to feather their own nests.

Good fun watching society collapse and everyone in denial of their own collusion in the scheme of things, so they will blame everyone else and do nothing. You can bet not matter what happens, every coming election will bring back the same parties and policies destroying society. Nothing like supporting your own fatal outcome, shows real common sense and understanding of life, so funny.

I am gobsmacked that something as politically suicidal as criminally extorting vast numbers of people - including aged pensioners, where if I recall correctly we find a very significant block of coalition supporters - is being allowed to continue unabated by those with a political need to be re-elected.

Yeah, pensioners are next. Those naughty elderly are getting dividends and interest payments. $1Bn is the target over 3 years IIRC.

It is a target, not an estimate.

Bit worried about Mum but I am sure Centrelink knows about the interest and the Dutch pension she gets. Bastards would not hesitate to do over a 96yo widow with dementia to get a few $ they aren’t really entitled to!

Yeah, been worried about mum and dad too but so far they haven't been hit with anything.

Centrelink's actions demonstrate that they believe themselves to be above the law. And until they are brought to accord, they will continue to act that way.
