Bill Shorten

David Crowe writes that based on a lazy assumption, Bill Shorten has been underestimated by politicians and the media. He says Labor fights harder and smarter than the Liberals and Nationals in the daily grind of political combat.

Voters have been telling Shorten that he does not have to do too much because the Liberals are destroying themselves, but he said he took a different view.

“Labor has to step up to demonstrate that the democratic system itself isn’t fundamentally damaged, that political parties can tell people what they are going to do and then go and do it – to restore some faith in the system.”

i.e. no more rapid swapping of PMs.

Phil Coorey writes that if Bill Shorten wins the next election, he will make history.

And Coorey says that Shorten is vowing the biggest policy plan since Whitlam.

i suspect Shorten will be like Howard, personally disliked, but the public will vote for him because of his policies.

about time too, personality politics has been destroying this country foir to long ... it leads to short term policy goals over substantive longer term policy making
FD.
I hope that bitch who was running their brothels for them gets raped with a cactus.
