Did you learn nothing from the USA's attempts to ban alcohol and the rise of Capone?

No? What's this then?: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5128&start=650#p153825

but that is not beyond me at all, yet far more relevantly....he is not POTUS.

Why does that matter? Will you be forgetting all about Trump's behaviour when he is no longer POTUS?

Like I said....it is not beyond me. I simply did not recall posting that. Will I forget Donald's behaviour....probably not given there likely will be ongoing prosecutions against him. There are none again Obama.

So it sounds like you don't think that it is all that big a deal that Obama bowed now that he is no longer president. Is this right?

Short answer is...yes. Why argue about yesterday? Let's deal with the now.

Okay, fair enough. So if Trump looses 2020 and I come back to you in March 2021, you will say that Trump doing the sword dance isn't that big a deal?

It is pretty simple really. You're willing to forget all about Obama's bow now that he is not the president and I'm asking you if you are willing to forget Trump's dance when HE is no longer president. Or do you have a gross double standard?

Well I knew that March 2021 would be the first month that he wouldn't be president if he lost. And given that the inauguration will be in January, I should've said February 2021.

There is no íf'about it.! He 'looses' all the time... off his mouth. He looses off his mouth every day.. he cannot shut up...

No dear friend, like so many semi-literates on here, you just can't get your words right. Hey, you're NOT the only one.

But, just don't claim superiority in anything, if you choose to show your ignorance of basic spelling, and the comprehension, thereof.

Gawd,, I see enough of it in the actual press.

Ah yes, of course. You're a typical pathetic and petty 'online grammar & spelling warrior.' Yes, good on you, you should be very proud of yourself. :rofl

If you worried half as much about constructing a decent argument as you do about insulting people and correct spelling and grammar, you would actually get close to being able to be considered someone who has competence! :rofl

I see you've skipped out chris 155.

Well as you have no reply, I 'd like to give you a really good example of why what you spurn , is important. :yak yak

It's about comprehension. Both of the writer and the reader.

The last time I engaged in academia, more than 2 decades ago, we had a tough question. :bgrin

The KEY was comprehension … so.. used in the exam, which blitzed most people, was a question which used the word causal.

That's CAUSAL. …... Not CASUAL.

SO it seems most of the younger folk read casual... hence.. their efforts were rubbish. Most of them failed. I passed. With a Distinction. :bgrin

But as I said, that was decades ago.. and yet it remains a valuable lesson.

I understand that instead of engaging in intellectual debate (which you are CLEARLY UTTERLY incapable of) you decided instead to engage in spelling policing because that is evidently all that you are competent of achieving in an online forum, along with PATHETICALLY firing insults at people left, right and center. Good luck with all of that! :rofl

Mine and most other people on here. Our posts are not merely insulting people and correcting spelling, which again, is evidently all that you are competent of achieving in an online forum.

Personally, I find your insistence on people answering you, even when they have said all they CHOSE to...an insult. You cast aspersions on peoples' intelligence, because you don't get what you want. You keep demanding replies to questions about pretty pointless issues, in the face of the condition of our world.

You aren't doing anything except pursue some minutiae which have some meaning to you. Obviously dear, asking the same question, over and over again, is an insult to the person you are posting with, shall we say. Do you understand?

You know? .. asking and getting the same basic response.. over and over again …. but continuing anyway is the definition of .. what? :purple :bgrin :roll

You need a working evolving intellect to indulge in intellectual debate, not much here, just repetitive support for dumb stupidity and running down or ignoring any form of positive and progressive input. Than again, you need an inquiring intellect, not a blind denialist one and your posts don't represent anything intelligence, just the opposite.
