Yeh, my Dad's got that: very cool stuff.

I liked that Chet Atkins one, cheers: he is something else.

I saw a video with him playing with someone else (maybe with a cowboy hat🤔) and it was just smoking. Fast tempo and it had a 1 and a 1/2 beat intro : if I find it I'll post it but it was brilliant. Can't remember who the other guy was but I got the impression they played a lot together....?!?

I've really liked some of their recent stuff but this blew.

I must admit to feeling apprehensive when i saw Elton John was involved. No time for that man.

See above .... My Dad lived in the same area of England


My Mum was a seamstress, from a very young age, like it or not.
Father unknown, with a psycho for a mother, she was born in 1924.

Crikey, that is hard to imagine, now. As a kid she was shipped off to the Antipodes, with her mother.

My Fair Lady was very familiar to me as a child. Funny how the older you get the more your early memories come to the fore.

I used to love his early work... but a great voice..? Never thought he had a great voice.

He had/has a distinctive voice.. that is indeniable..

Elton John is the Tom Cruise of the Music world, everyone hates him and his singing but when you start listing his work they admit to liking most of it.... It's a little bit funny...

I was born into his '80s stuff like "I'm Still Standing" and i thought it was dreadful. I also heard "Crocodile Rock" everywhere and hated it'

Over the years i've heard some of his earlier stuff but not much. I admit it is loads better than the stuff i knew of his but it's still pretty crap. Some of it i find tolerable but i don't like any of it.

I'd love to be proven wrong though. If anyone can find an Elton John song for me that i like, i'd be happy to be proven wrong.
