Just got back home we have a new neighbor that inst home down the road and left a message on their gate
Give it a few more hours then if it's not her's then the pound...

We are about 6km's out of town and the first dirt road, It seams when people dumping thair pets hit the dirt road think this is far enough away and then we get all these starving abandoned animals....Be nice if the council could install a Camera where the dirt road starts...Get some of the heartless bastards that do this...
We also get full feral cats from the forestry as well.... Possums , Poteroo's, sugar gliders and bandicots are native to the area and all get eaten by feral cats....
Well Mothra how do you propose we deal with this problem......Or are you just judgemental not able to work solutions ?

So you've trapped a cat in such a way as to cut off it's tail and are what, keeping it in a cage while you do a ring round of the neighbours numbers you know?
Take it to a vet immediately. Or the pound. It would be in agony. Arsehole.
Secondly, it's not just a bobtail. It's an injured animal that you injured. Are you aware of what is connected to a cat's tail? They feed rtight off the spine. It's probably stress purring.
You're an abomination. And the sickening thing it you think you have the higher moral ground. You're just cruel. This is animal cruelly. People like you being cruel to animals because their problematic make me suck to my stomach. It's like you get off on it. You certainly did. Bragging about it like you did. Other folk here may not take such a dim view but i'm calling you an arsehole who is cruel to animals.
Get the cat to a vet or the pound immediately. It is in agony.
Completely healed overnight my arse.
Looks like you've been doing a fair bit of editing.
All i know is that people who commit acts of animal cruelty in the name of environmentalism gall me even more than those who just do it as a matter of course.
You seem quite delighted by what you'll get to do to cane toads. Creative, are you? At least nobody thinks they're cute. Who cares if they suffer?
Nah Don. Dig yourself out all you want. You've exposed yourself to me.
fuck you Mothra you Bitch you know nothing about me.......
and because your a fucking moderator i cant even ignore your sorry ass.....

We freeze the cane toads, read that is the most humane way to dispose of them... Don't really give a shit what you think Mothra....Feral animals kill millions of native animals a day, we are only just getting possums, poteroo's and bandicoots back....
My editing was 1 coma....
Ahh did it on the phone

if you want i can send you a pic of me patting it as well...
Give it some food and water. If it’s purring and letting you pet it, it’s not feral. Good of you to check with the neighbors. If it’s not theirs, it might have been abandoned.

Some of the Dodo videos, abandoned animals and I think “why?” Can take an animal you can no longer care for (or just want to get rid of) to a shelter! No need to abandon it miles out of town etc.

you can clip those trail cameras to any tree or post and they only record when they detect movement ... just check it every few days.
have to find out if your allowed to do that on council land.....don't want to take footage to the police and find out I'm in trouble for illegal surveillance....
Got a friend who is really into cameras I can probable get a cheep 2nd hand one off of him....

ahh thanks John, i'll send the link to my partner. she is with Wish . I'll talk to the council (again) tomorrow and see what I'm allowed to do...

on a side note I've tabled into our shire to have a cane toad drop off point in every town, the counselors haven't been interested. Been thinking of getting a Facebook movement of catching cane toads and releasing outside the council offices, see if a plague will help :)

It's one of the most heartless things I can think of.
I have a very old cat, that's at least 19 years old or older, she showed up on my door fully grown and told me I was picked to feed her about 18 years ago......she had been abandoned out here and ate solid for the first 6 weeks she was so skinny... I've always locked her up at night though and in her prime had to put 2 bells on her as she could still stalk with one. Now she is deaf and walks about 2 metres a day to lie down in the sun, her hips are about gone and being a Persian she can't clean herself anymore so we have to cut her hair tangles now, soon we will give her a going over with clippers...
The wallaby we look after has shown up again after about a 5-6 month break, she is with Joey again and when it gets so dry out here we feed and water her... This is her 4th year coming around, last year she had 3 joeys with here at diferant ages, this year just the one in her pouch...She will actually use her hands and grab bits of apple off us now....
4 years ago when it was dry she showed up on our front door and couldn't move, we feed her water and some greens from the fridge and now when it's dry she hangs around....

Plus about 50 birds we water and give a bit of seed when it gets dry, everything is dead out here at the moment... Need rain.

We have no dogs and a invalid cat so the wildlife like our land....

Maybe you ought to keep this new cat if you don't find its owner. Neuter/spay, shots, and I'll bet you'll have a new friend for life.

I have a real soft spot for dogs and cats. I have never turned away a stray or abandoned cat. Just can't do it. We have Animal Control that takes care of stray and abandoned dogs, so I've never been in a position to need to care for a lost dog, although I would.

Just got back from the pound, they always try to get you to admit your just dumping your own cat, had a new guy, suppose he was annoyed as he would of been on weekend call... They will keep it a few days just in case. Got a hold of the last neighbor first though, why I only got back now.....
